Common questions about LTL

What is the shipment process?

The LTL shipping process consists of getting a quote, booking a shipment, packaging and preparing the shipment, pickup, transportation, and delivery. The details of the shipment are negotiated and determined when you receive a quote from an LTL carrier.

Can we track shipment by BOL number?

Every BOL issued has a unique number assigned to it, and entering the BOL number into most LTL carriers websites will provide the shipment's most recent location.

How can I check my BOL number?

You can usually find the number at the top right hand corner of the bill of lading, next to the words 'BOL #'. The number is always made up of 4 letters (the carrier's code), followed by an 8, 10 or 12 digit code.
