LTL shipping, refers to the transportation of goods that do not require a full truckload. These smaller shipments, ranging anywhere from 150 lbs to 10,000 lbs, are instead grouped together (usually on pallets) and transported on one truck to their final destinations. While often logistically complex and requiring attention to detail regarding freight classes, weights, deadlines, and destinations for a variety of different shipments, LTL shipping can provide shippers with a flexible, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly way to move goods.
