When utilizing pallets for packing your LTL shipment, make sure that the pickup and delivery locations have either a forklift or a loading dock and pallet jack, or you must request a liftgate on the truck in order to load the shipment.
Make sure to check all of the details on your Bill of Lading (BOL) before you attach it to your shipment. If any information on the BOL is incorrect, it can result in delayed delivery times and significant additional fees.
The weight of your shipment includes all packaging and pallets. If you do not include this weight when you make your booking, you will receive an inaccurate quote.
When it comes to LTL shipping, there are three documents that are required for every shipment: the bill of lading, freight bill, and Proof of Delivery.
Liquids must be packed in a waterproof, sealable container. The container must be kept upright in the cardboard box, and the box must be marked as “Fragile” to ensure it is not kept upside down during shipping.
Liquids that do not cause injury can be shipped, liquids that carry the risk of spillage can be shipped in limited quantities, while hazardous or flammable liquids cannot be shipped. Corrosive, flammable, or poisonous liquids are prohibited by all carriers.
