The explosive surge of the COVID-19 omicron variant has caused a temporary shortage of available crew members and operational staff in the FedEx Express air network. Additionally, severe winter weather across the country has placed a strain on operations. The health and safety of our team members is our top priority. We are implementing contingency plans and adjusting our operations to the best of our ability to continue providing the best possible service to our customers during these difficult times. Volume currently moving through the network will be prioritized for processing.Previously paused pick-ups for International Priority Freight will resume on Monday, January 10th.Deferred and Premium Domestic FedEx Express Freight are planned to resume on Thursday, January 13thInternational Economy Freight pick-ups are planned to resume on Thursday, January 13th. Atlanta is experiencing delays for all beyond-point residential pickup and delivery services. Due to market conditions and available PUD resources, please anticipate delays in the Denver market. Albuquerque is experiencing delays of at least one day on inbound shipments. Las Vegas has a new schedule which may add additional time for outbound shipments.
Due to current freight volumes and capacity constraints, OakHarbor Freight Lines is not accepting shipments over 10,000 lbs or shipments taking up more than 12’ of trailer space. This rule applies only to shipments originating in California or Nevada. This is a necessary adjustment we need to make in order to bring Peace of Mind to our customers by maintaining our service levels. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes and appreciate your support.
